How the Wordle Solver works
Three taps and you’re solving. No accounts, no nonsense.
1. Type your guess
Tap letters on the on-screen keyboard. They fill the active row left to right.
2. Tag the colours
Tap each tile to cycle through grey → amber → green — matching what Wordle gave you.
3. Watch the matches
The counter narrows as you tag. Hit Find words for the full ranked list. Tap any word to copy it.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a Wordle clone?
No. This is a solver — you tell it the colours from your real Wordle game and it filters every 5-letter word that fits. There’s no daily puzzle, no streak, no win/lose. Wordle® stays with The New York Times; we just help you crack their puzzle faster.
Why three colours?
They match Wordle’s own feedback. Green means the letter is in the right spot. Amber means it’s in the word but in a different spot. Slate means it’s not in the word at all.
What’s “Hard mode”?
With Hard mode on, the solver only returns words that use every green and amber letter you’ve tagged. Off, it allows looser matches — useful if you suspect a duplicate letter.
Does this site work in New Zealand spelling?
NYT Wordle itself uses American spelling (COLOR not COLOUR, HONOR not HONOUR). Our dictionary follows the same convention so the matches line up. Full NZ spelling guide →
